Meet Rodica.

Just a few months ago, Rodica used her computer mainly to check work emails.

Today? She’s illustrating a full 12-book series on her own and has decided to follow a completely new path as a children’s book author.

What began as a simple creative project has grown into a meaningful new career.

Over the past few months, Rodica has learned new skills to create cartoon storytelling. Combined with her background in psychology, this has led to an exciting project: The Zodiac Kids and the Emotions Quest.

This series of books explores what it truly means for a child to be “unique.” Each story has a character with a different zodiac sign, showing how their personality shapes the way they experience friendships, emotions, and everyday life. It’s also an emotional guide for parents.

Rodica had no background in art or design, just an idea and the courage to follow it.

She took a leap and began experimenting with AI to turn her ideas into educational books.

Experimenting with our cartoon storytelling app became her new creative hobby. As Rodica shared, for someone without design or drawing experience, simply typing an idea and seeing it transform into a beautiful image felt like magic.

So where did Rodica´s story begin?

It started at home, with her child. As a parent, she was often faced with thoughtful questions from her kid. “What does it mean when I feel this way? Why did my friend act that way?”

Rodica believed that beautifully illustrated books were one of the most effective ways to help children understand the world around them. That belief inspired her to not only write meaningful stories, but also bring them visually to life, so kids could truly connect with characters.

What began as a small creative experiment has grown into a journey filled with meaning, imagination, and the courage to start something entirely new. Rodica has decided to become a children’s book author, with the hope of supporting many others through her stories. Today, her books are in progress, each one thoughtfully shaped with care, purpose, and heart.

We feel incredibly grateful that Rodica reached out to share her journey with us. Learning more about her story reminds us why we created this app in the first place. It’s inspiring to see what’s possible when someone embraces creativity.

Rodica’s journey reminds us of three important truths:

1. It’s never too late to learn something new, even if you’re starting from zero.
2. Every step counts, you don’t need a finished project to be proud of your progress.
3. Experimentation is essential, things won’t be perfect at first, but every try builds new skills.

Creative transformation starts with a small spark and a willingness to try!

Weekly Workflow — Create Pixar-Level Animation

Wondering how to create killer animation that elevates your story by leaps and bounds?

Here’s a workflow to do just that.

Tools:

• Consistent Character AI
• Midjourney Video
• Canva or CapCut

Steps:

1. Use Consistent Character AI’s ‘Character Turbo V2’ to create a cartoon character
2. Click ‘Action Editor’ on the top right corner of the generated image
3. Write a simple prompt. For example:
   • [Change the action to] She is looking up at a butterfly.
   • [Change the action to] She is waving hello with her hands up a high and big smile on her face.
4. Hit Generate
5. Upload the images to Midjourney
6. Choose one of the images as the first frame for the video
7. Write a simple prompt, like “Slow-motion zoom in, she is waving.”

That’s it!

Within seconds, you’ll get amazing animations that you can string together in Canva or CapCut.
